KRZ House

The KRZ house is located in a residential area close to Arenal beach in Jávea, Alicante.
A large plot, with a gentle slope that descends to the west and main views that open to the north, are the starting point of the project. The geometry and topography of the plot favour the placement of the house.

The house is configured from the joint, as a fusion of two volumes of different height that form a single floor.

The point of contact between the two pieces is perforated and generates a central courtyard, in the manner of a Roman atrium, fulfilling a triple function: it delimits the access, organizes the rooms, and connects them visually.

The access to the house is made by the point of intersection of the volumes, through a pergola conceived as a sculptural element.

Views of the sea and Cabo San Antonio are seen from the north face of the main piece. The south face opens onto the terrace, the swimming pool and a garden with a Mediterranean character that creates a more intimate and private space.

The main volume has a great height, so the scale of the space is amplified.
In order to enhance horizontality, the house has a single floor and the pavement arises from the ground as a base.
