Horizontality and weightlessness above El Portet Bay in Moraira
The project is located on a plot with a complex geometry, in one of the best residential areas of Moraira, El Portet. Set at the top of a hill, the site benefits from panoramic views, framed to the north by the Montgó Massif and to the south by the renowned bay of El Portet.
To make the most of the uniqueness of the site, the proposed house is formed by a horizontal volume that directs views from the different spaces towards the most significant vistas of the plot, creating distinctive spaces along each façade.
The project is based on adapting to the geometry of the plot and raising the living area, with the terrace and swimming pool positioned on the upper level, taking advantage of the southern orientation, which coincides with the best views towards the Mediterranean Sea.
The front terrace consists of a large platform finished with an infinity pool overlooking the bay. The terrace is protected by a large cantilever extending from the roof of the house, creating a sense of weightlessness that emerges from the strong horizontality of the volume.
The northern elevation, which accommodates both vehicular and pedestrian access, features a terrace opening onto a garden of typical Mediterranean vegetation, with pine trees, citrus trees and olive trees, and the Montgó as a backdrop.
