Stone Volumes Embracing Light-Filled Interiors in J\u00e1vea<\/h2>\n

The WGN house is located on a gently sloping plot that descends towards the east, facing the green area of a residential complex in Javea, Alicante. The orientation, geometry and topography of the plot facilitate the development and implementation of the project.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n

The house is conceived as a set of solid volumes that surround a fluid and luminous interior. The different volumes slide together and grow horizontally and vertically generating a robust volumetry, which gives the character to the project.
\nThe vertical structural elements organize the spaces and are arranged parallel to each other and perpendicular to the slope of the ground, materializing through dry masonry walls.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n

The access to the house is via the centre of the ground plan, through a double-height space in which the staircase is also located.
\nThe ground floor houses the day rooms: hallway, kitchen, living room and dining room, which are arranged consecutively to maintain the visual and spatial connection between them. In addition, there are two outdoor spaces covered by cantilever roofs, which help to control the sunlight in the interior and serve as a transition to the terrace and the pool.
\nThe upper floor comprises the night area, with three bedrooms, each with a bathroom and terrace.
\nBoth the interior and exterior feature natural colours with earth tones as well as materials such as wood and natural stone. This stone is present in the dry masonry walls, favouring the transition between the interior rooms and the exterior spaces.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n
